On the first of December...

...I was struck down with a terrible cold/flu type disaster. Which somewhat took the shine off of the opening of the first window on my advent calendar.  And  I realise that no one enjoys being ill, but being the drama queen that I am (and I won't tell my boyfriend I admited it), I always seem to think I'm the only one stuck indoors feeling sorry for themselves.

I didn't have much energy, but I thought I'd use the time lying about in bed to do something useful. Enter browsing presents online and Christmas card writing. I've never been this prepared in my life, but I'd already bought some cute cards in Sweden so I looked them out and got writing. There's also a special one with a print by Shona McGuiggan that I got at Bold Souls a few weeks ago. I don't know if I can bear to give it away, so I might just frame it and put it up on my wall. I'll definitely be turning to her for cards and prints from now on, her illustrations are strongly fashion led and many seem to be inspired by iconic magazine shoots - beautiful.

And yes, the tree is up already in my house, but not yet fully decorated. This is just a sneak peek, a full festive blog post will undoubtedly follow as this year I am feeling surprisingly un-Scrooge like. Are you looking forward to Christmas this year?

Things I DO want to share:
God Jul cards (from Sweden): Gallerix
Reindeer girl card: Eilean Shona Arts
Angel doll: Momiji

  1. LOVE your christmas decorations and cards. Good idea to put your favourite card in a frame :) I love christmas although the downside is that I work in Topshop and it gets crazy busy this time of year!! Can't wait to get the decorations up though and walk around the christmas markets etc.
Just discovered your lovely blog and now I'm your newest follower :) xx
