Being a baby of the 80s, bold prints and colours have always have appealed to me....although I sometimes have to tone it down a little - and found myself doing so with this leopard print and crosses nail art. The patterns might have been inspired by Madonna circa Lucky Star, but the dusty pink colour gave them a look more suited to 2012. Hurrah!
I've been loving the trend for crosses lately, and especially when mismatched on nails. This was also my first attempt at leopard print, and it was easier than I thought - the fact that they don't need to be symmetrical really helps. Sadly this pattern will probably be replaced soon, as I got lots of new nail treats over Christmas, so watch out for upcoming posts on colours by Opi, Deborah Lippmann, Jessica and even Mynx nails.
And as much as I love rocking the leopard and crosses - I just don't think they'd look right for the office, so I'm glad I got the chance to try this out over the Christmas break. Have you been trying any new beauty products over the holidays?
This is also my first time taking part in the Monday Beauties Blog Hop! If you're arriving here from the blog hop, hi, hello, bonjour - please feel free to comment and introduce yourself. If not, you can check out the other beauty blogs taking part (or join in) by clicking the button bellow.
