Hair stories: Organix review

For as long as I can remember, my hair and I haven't seen eye to eye on our versions of acceptable behavior. For example, I think my hair should be straight, smooth and ready to style into any shape I want for the day. But my naturally curly hair thinks differently and has frizz parties as and when it pleases.

But time has been on my side - and the arrival of some products, such as GHD straighteners (obviously) and the Babyliss Big Hair hair dryer have made my life a lot easier when it comes to looking presentable. And quite recently I have discovered Organix hair products. Which I cannot recommend enough.

I'm not a big hair product girl, so there won't be lots of posts like this (I have my bff hairdresser friend Carolyn to consult on all that stuff, maybe she could guest post?) but I will say that the three shampoo/conditioner duos I have used from  this brand have made my hair wonderfully shiny and so much more manageable.

After trying the Keratin and Coconut Organix products, I am now giving the Moroccan Argan Oil a go. Now we all know why this product has appeared on the shelves at Boots, but while I've not tried the official Moroccan Oil, this version is cheaper and I fail to see how it can be much different. The shampoo and conditioner alone are great, and with a quick sweep of argan oil before blow drying, you've got locked in shininess, a less frizzy 'do and hair that is much easier to work with. Winner.

And while we're on the subject of hair - I have finally moved on from the ombre style I've had for a year. I still love ombre, but I needed a change, so I've gone back to my natural dark colour with some blonde highlights underneath, which I might build up for a lighter look over summer. I know I'm not exactly blowing you guys away with this huge change right now. But it seems that long haired brunette is officially part of my identity and with the frizz to contend with, I'm just glad if I can achieve that well. Even if I would love to go crazy and get pastel hair on boring days.....ah well, there's always chalking.

What are you doing with your hair this summer?
