Being a tourist is one of my favourite things in the world - and I wasn't going to pass up the chance to be one on my trip to visit my friend in Dundee this weekend (even if I have been there several times already). Nor was I going to pass up the chance to go dancing, wear my new pastel stacked bracelets or put on my Jeffrey Campbell boots and favourite floral dress.
Luckily fate was on my side, and I got to do all of these things and more. Please see above for evidence. The bracelets/dress/boots opportunities are pretty self explanatory. The other set of pictures can be filed under 'tourist in her element' - which is what I was when we decided to get cultural and visit the city's wonderful McManus Galleries. Paintings of circus freaks, Alice in Wonderland style spiral staircases and bottle light effects were the highlight for me - and it's definitely a place to check out if you're ever in Dundee.
Oh, and thanks to everyone on Twitter who responded to my cocktails/dancing haunt requests - they came in very useful.......and I'm now proud to say I have been to the brightest nightclub in the world. Even if I'm not so proud of the dancing and high fiving I did there. But that's a story for another day.
